IDEAL FOR VOCALS, SPEECH, HORNS, GUITARS, FLUTE, PERCUSSION & DRUMS: The hyper-cardioid polar pattern provides off-axis rejection of over 25dB and extremely high gain before feedback and features 40 Hz to 19 kHz frequency response with a mild rise in the low-mid frequencies for added body, and a presence boost for high-end clarity. Unconventionally low output level (8 to 10 dB lower than typical dynamic microphones) serves as a natural pad at the capsule to maintain high fidelity at the source.
OUR KIT INCLUDES: The On-Stage ASWS58 Foam Windscreen for Handheld Microphones (Black) is sized to fit over most handheld microphones with round capsules. The windscreen delivers adequate noise suppression from wind, popping, sibilance, etc. Also included is an XLR cable which is a balanced & shielded 3-conductor audio cable with Professional 3-Pin XLR male and female connectors on each end. It is specially designed for microphones.
The Audix OM5 is a handheld hyper-cardioid dynamic microphone optimized for the reproduction of vocals, speech, horns, guitars, and drums in live sound, studio sessions, and broadcast applications. It produces a frequency response of 48 Hz to 19 kHz with a dip at 120 Hz, a mild rise in the low-mid frequencies, and a wide presence boost. The gold-plated XLR 3-pin output ensures compatibility with most microphone preamps and mixer inputs, and the zinc alloy body with a dent-resistant steel mesh grille provides road-ready protection and durability. The OM5 was designed, assembled, and tested in the USA, and ships with a microphone clip and carrying pouch.
